	The Children of Achievement awards is a presentation given to recognise the efforts of youngsters of primary school age who have excelled throughout the year. Circumstances include exceptional academic performance, achievements in sports and contributions to local community groups & clubs. Also recognised are those who have shown bravery and improved their own situation and of those around them in the face of difficult personal situations such as disability. The picture shown shows the Councillor and former Mayor Mohammed Iqbal and our own Chair Angela Gabriel, presenting the awards at the 2007 festival. Its always encouraging to see the positive attitude of tomorrows generation being awarded for their achievements so come along and show your support to this years little tikes.
